The Raiders of Southern Wells came to the Bear Den for a JV/Varsity matchup on 8/25/26. The Varsity team came ready to play and put on a great show in the first set falling just short with the Raiders winning 22-25. The next set showed the Golden Bears a bit shaken and the Raiders took this one 12-25. However, the Golden Bears weren't done with the fight and played hard in set 3 but came up short with a score of 22-25. Some mentionable stats tonight were from Senior Raegan Quattlebaum with 17 receptions and 12 digs. Freshman Izzy McGrath with 5 kills and 2 blocks. Sophomore Maylynn Morrison with 1 ace, 9 kills, 12 receptions, and 6 digs. Sophomore Mckenna Murphy with 1 ace, 7 kills, and 4 digs. Junior Bentley Pegg with 4 aces and 22 assists. The Varsity Golden Bears will be in action again tomorrow (8/26/26), when they travel to take on the Rockets of Union. This Varsity Only matchup is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
