Big Second Inning Leads Cowan Past 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears By GameChanger Media Cowan defeated 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears 9-3 on Tuesday thanks in part to five runs in the second inning. Cowan were the first to get on the board in the first when B Hiatt singled, scoring one run. 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears took the lead in the top of the second inning after Kloee Brannan singled, and Maylynn Morrison flew out, each scoring one run. In the bottom of the second inning, Cowan went back into the lead after K Wheadon singled down the left field line, 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears committed an error, T Young singled to right field, 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears dropped a third strike, and Hiatt singled to center field, each scoring one run. Cowan added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Cowan scored on a passed ball, and S Bowling grounded out, each scoring one run. Lucy Huston pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run while, striking out five and walking four.
