The Golden Bears went up against Southwood in the Regional Championship at Lapel. The Golden Bears started off well but trailed to Southwood 14-11. The Golden Bears quickly took the lead in the second quarter and lead 29-21 at halftime. The third quarter was tightly played and Southwood cut the Golden Bears lead to 35-34 at the end of the quarter. The Golden Bears never faltered in the fourth quarter though scoring 29 points in the quarter and capturing back to back Regional championships with a final score of 64-48. All team members provided great minutes. Team scores are as follows: Luke Morgan- 28; Ta’ Shaun Beatty- 13; Jackson Konkle- 9; Griffin Gannom- 6; Eli Friend- 3; LaDainian Isom- 2; Peyton Chamness- 2; Elias Hart- 1. The Golden Bears will play the first game of Semi-State @10:00 a.m. on Saturday the 21st at Lafayette Jeff. Go Bears!
