Monroe Central

The Monroe Central boys' and girls' high school cross country teams competed in the Wapahani Invitational this past Saturday. The boys team finished 3rd with Eli Chamberlain leading the way, placing 8th. Lane Dance, Zadok Lloyd, and Jackson Wines had an impressive day placing 17th, 18th, and 20th. Nathan Daniels, Cory Brown, Wyatt Daniels, Zayne Sampley, and Noah Moery also ran well. The girls' team came out as the invitational's champions. Addison Coe led the Bears placing 2nd, with Andi Watson, Avery Thomas, and Katie Osborne close behind placing 6th, 7th, and 8th. Gracie Baker, Mackenzie Pryor, Addy Puckett, Makaylah Brainerd, Ailey Moon, and Alivia Arvin also ran well. The bears will be back in action on Tuesday at the rescheduled Arabian Roundup at Pendleton Heights starting with the varsity boys at 6:00pm.
