The Varsity Golden Bears squared off against the Randolph Southern Rebels Friday night in the Bear Den. The game was well played by both sides and both teams made their runs. The Golden Bears got ahead early leading after the first quarter 19-9. Randolph Southern made a run the second quarter to cut the Golden Bears lead making the halftime score 30-26 still in favor of the Golden Bears. The Golden Bears stayed ahead in the third quarter leading44-38 at the end of three. The Golden Bears held on to win their first home game of the season 57-52. All team members played vital roles and crucial minutes in the win. Team scores as follows: Jackson Konkle- 21; Luke Morgan- 14; Griffin Gannom- 11; Ta’Shaun Beatty- 7; Peyton Chamness 2; Eli Friend- 2. The Golden Bears travel to Hagerstown on Saturday. Go Bears!
