7th Grade: The 7th Grade Lady Bears traveled to Delta on Wednesday evening and continued their winning ways, defeating the Eagles 39-10 and improving their record to 8-0. MC continued their smothering defense which kickstarted their scoring on the other end of the court. All 13 girls saw significant floor time and contributed in the victory. Alexa Tinsman led the scoring effort with a season high 20. Delainee Whitehead added 9, Remmie Morrison had 8 and Harper Whitehead added 2. The Bears play next against Daleville on Saturday when they compete in the Randolph Southern Holiday Tournament. GO BEARS!!! 8th Grade: The 8th grade girls basketball team enters the Holiday break 9-0 after traveling to Delta and defeating the Eagles 43-2. The girls played solid man to man defense led by Ada Wagner who was usually guarding a much bigger opponent. The girls struggled on the offensive end missing numerous bunnies but were able to clean up the mebounds and pad their stats. The young Bears look to improve over the break and finish the second half of the strong and will be defending their MEC and County championships from a year ago. Scoring for the night was as follows. Landry Taylor 9, Izzy McGrath 8, Gracie McCreery 7, Claire Cheesman and Mila Morris 6, Mati McConnell 3, Brynlee Dumpert and Lillie Morery 2.
