The LaPorte County Girls Golf Invitational was held today at the Michigan City Municipal North Golf Course. Participating schools included teams from Marquette Catholic, New Prairie, and Westville. Host Michigan City and South Central had individual golfers competing. Marquette Catholic won the event with a team score of 382. Individual medalist honors was earned by Marquette's Marissa Pleasant with a score of 82. Michigan City's Abigail Shanks shot 110 and Livy Swistek shot 119. Both Shanks and Swistek are new to Varsity competition for City and did a great job handling their nerves. The Wolves will return to competition this Wednesday when they compete in the New Prairie Invitational at Legacy Hills. It will be a 1:00pm shotgun start.
