Mooresville Girls Tennis Falls to Heritage Christian

The Mooresville Pioneers girls tennis team traveled to Heritage Christian on Saturday for a non-conference matchup. The host Eagles claimed a 4-1 victory at the varsity level and edged out the junior varsity squad 4-3. Varsity Results Mooresville’s lone varsity win came from Lyla Kaufman, who cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. No. 2 Singles: Hadley Miller lost 0-6, 0-6 No. 3 Singles: Adilynn Breedlove lost 0-6, 0-6 No. 1 Doubles: Tori Shields and Emily [Last Name] lost a hard-fought three-setter, 2-6, 6-4, 1-6 No. 2 Doubles: Jacey Bell and Ava Krauss lost 1-6, 6-7 (7-9) JV Results Singles: Hailey Hoffman lost 2-8 Doubles: Carissa Kennedy / Grace Coon won 8-5 Abbie Bolton / Brooklyn Rawlins won 8-5 Katie Taylor / Brooke Mitchell won 8-7 (7-3) Evie Welker / Maddi Garrison lost 4-8 Alexis Williams / Amelia Lindsey-Turnmire lost 0-6 Hailey Hoffman / Belle Johnson lost 3-6 With the loss, the varsity team drops to 8-9 overall, while the JV team moves to 4-8-1 on the season. The Pioneers are back in action Tuesday, May 13, when they travel to Whiteland for a rescheduled match set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
