Mooresville Lady Pioneers Fall To Bishop Chatard Lady Trojans

The Mooresville Lady Pioneers played with heart and determination Thursday night, showing strong effort and teamwork despite a 78–42 loss to a talented Bishop Chatard squad. The Pioneers came out with energy, putting up 13 points in the first quarter and continuing to battle through all four periods. Mooresville showed flashes of strong defense, hustle on the boards, and solid ball movement that kept them competing throughout the game. Kendal Price led the way with 12 points, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Niah Craig added a spark from beyond the arc with 11 points and three three-pointers, while Makenzie Holtzclaw scored 7 points and knocked down five free throws. Kaylee Barton and Millie Allison each contributed 5 points, and Halle Moore added 2 points. While Kenzie Garrett and Bri Addair both made their presence felt with energy off the bench and strong defensive effort—continuing to provide depth and leadership for the young Mooresville team. Though the scoreboard didn’t reflect their effort, the Lady Pioneers continue to grow as a unit and show promise for the rest of the season. Mooresville looks to build on their positives and bounce back stronger in their next matchup.
