IISL Cross Country Championships Tuesday, October 7, 2025 North Central High School 1801 E 86th Street Indianapolis, IN 46240 Schools: Bethesda Christian School, Indiana School for the Deaf, Indy West Christian School, International School of Indiana, Mooresville Christian Academy, The Oaks Academy, The Orchard School, Park Tudor School, St. Richard’s Episcopal School, Sycamore School, Traders Point Christian School Participation and Scoring: In order to participate in the team competition(s), a school must have at least five athletes complete the 3,000-meter course. The Top 5 from each school will be scored, with Runners 6 and 7 affecting scoring as pushers. There is no limit to the number of runners permitted to race from each squad. Order of Events: The boys competition is slated to begin at 5:30 pm or as soon as all teams have arrived and have been afforded an adequate amount of time to warm-up, stretch, and make their ways to the starting line. After all boys have crossed the finish line, we will be on a rolling time schedule. The girls race will be up next, which will then be followed by the awards ceremony. Timing and Scoring: Above and Beyond Timing will be responsible for the timing and scoring of the meet. Athletes will wear bibs with chips affixed to them, and a camera backup will film the finish line. – Upon arrival, each school’s coach(es) should check in with ABT to collect his/her/their team’s bibs. Results for each race will essentially be generated after the final finisher comes across the line, though there could be instances when ABT might need to check the camera to verify close finishes and the like. Medals will be given to the Top 10 individual finishers of each race. Field Restrictions and Team Camps: Please make sure that team members and families attending the IISL Cross Country Championships are advised not to cross any soccer field or the infield of any baseball fields, all of which are adjacent to the cross country course. Participants and spectators should stay within the perimeter of the cross country course. Tents and team camps may be set up near the finish area – but not inside the finish ring, which is marked with a low grass berm. Meet Volunteers: All participating schools will provide a course marshal for each race. Position assignments will be emailed to each school prior to the meet. There will be a meeting for volunteers near the finish line at approximately 5:00. Punctuality will ensure the efficiency of the evening’s work. Parking: Event parking will be available in the lot south of the J. Everett Light Career Center. Overflow parking can be found in various lots around campus, which will warrant longer walks to the athletic fields.
