JH Volleyball Ends Season with 3 Wins

Tuesday night at Jack Butcher Arena, the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Lady Lion volleyball teams each picked up wins at home over the North Daviess Lady Cougars in front of an energetic crowd and lively student section. The 6th grade team, led by Coach Tracie McAtee, won a tight three-set match 25–20, 23–25, 15–7, closing out their season with an impressive 10–3 record. The 7th grade Lady Lions, coached by Kelsy Lampert, continued the momentum with a 25–20, 25–14 sweep and the 7th grade finished their season at 14-8. Capping off the night, the 8th grade team, under Coach Whitney Wagoner, finished strong with a 26–24, 25–8 victory moving them to 16-8. This matchup also marked the final junior high volleyball game for the 8th graders. Before the game, the team honored their players who will be moving on to high school next season: Taryn Brown, Brylee Bateman, Addison Moore, Fara Fisher, Landry Strange, Skylyr Raney, and Kensleigh Carrico. The 8th graders also presented Joe Melton with a “#1 Fan” sign and took a photo together to celebrate his support throughout the season.
