On Monday night, the Loogootee Lady Lions hosted Wood Memorial for Senior Night, honoring two outstanding seniors — Macy Knepp and Cora Consley — for their contributions to the volleyball program. The Lady Lions came ready to defend their home floor, defeating the Trojans in straight sets (25–9, 25–18, 25–16). Loogootee controlled the pace throughout, to cap off the senior night win. Seniors Macy Knepp and Cora Consley were recognized before the match for their dedication to the program and impact on and off the court. • Macy, daughter of Landon Knepp and Emily Strange, plans to attend Purdue University to study Pharmacy. Her favorite high school memory is winning back-to-back volleyball sectionals. • Cora, daughter of Shawn and Melissa Consley, plans to attend Indiana University to major in Biochemistry. Her favorite memory is also winning back-to-back sectionals. The Lady Lions now move to 8–16 on the season and will close out the regular season on the road at South Knox on Tuesday and Bedford North Lawrence on Thursday.
