7th Grade Volleyball Goes 2-1 At Wabash Valley Tourney

Loogootee 7th Grade Lady Lions Battle at Wabash Valley Tourney The 7th grade Lady Lions had a strong showing at the Wabash Valley Tournament at Terre Haute South today. After an early morning bus ride, the girls came ready to play and started the day with a win over Honey Creek, taking the match 25-12, 18-25, 15-7. In their second game, they dominated Vincennes Clark, winning in straight sets, 25-10 and 25-8, to finish pool play with a 2-0 record and advance to the Gold Bracket. Following a lunch break, the Lady Lions faced the Sullivan Lady Arrows. They jumped out to a lead in the first set but fell behind late, dropping the set. The girls responded with a strong performance in the second set to even the match and carry momentum into the decisive third. Despite a hard-fought battle, the Lady Lions came up just short, falling 14-16 to finish the day 2-1. The 7th grade Lady Lions now sit at 6-5 on the season. Both junior high teams will be back in action Tuesday night when they travel to Forest Park.
