Lady Lions 6th & 7th Grade Volleyball Earn Road Wins at Washington Catholic The Loogootee Lady Lions 6th and 7th grade volleyball teams hit the road Tuesday night, earning a pair of impressive victories over Blue Chip Conference opponent Washington Catholic in the historic Bird Cage. The 6th grade squad battled through two close sets, outlasting a scrappy Washington Catholic team to take the win, 25-20 and 25-23. With the victory, they improve their season record to 3-2. The 7th grade Lady Lions followed with a dominant performance, cruising to a straight-set victory, 25-10 and 25-4. Their record now stands at 3-4 on the season. The Lady Lions’ 7th and 8th grade teams return to action Thursday night at Lee Kavanaugh Gymnasium, hosting Shoals with the 7th grade match beginning at 6:00 p.m. The 7th grade squad will also compete in the Wabash Valley Invite in Terre Haute on Saturday morning, gaining valuable extra floor time against tough competition.
