Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

This past Saturday, the Lady Lions volleyball team traveled to North Knox for the 28th annual Blue-Chip Conference Tournament. All nine conference schools had a team this year, Loogootee drew Dubois in the first round. Loogootee got off to a strong start and defeated Dubois in two sets, and then went on to defeat Vincennes Rivet in two sets. After defeating the Lady Patriots, the Barr-Reeve Lady Vikings were waiting on Loogootee in the Championship match. Despite a strong start by our 8th graders coached by Whitney Wagoner, and some late leads and runs in each set, the Lady Lions fell in two to the Lady Vikings, 21-25 and 19-25. The Lady Lions finished runner-up and are now 16-7 going into the final few matches of the season. The 8th Grade Lady Lions host Dubois tonight and Barr-Reeve tomorrow, come out and support them before their season comes to a close!
