Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

Last Saturday, our girls golf team traveled to Buffalo Trace Golf Course in Jasper, Indiana, where they competed against 13 other teams. Our Lady Lions placed 12th out of 14 teams, shooting a 481, while a score of 428 advanced out of the sectional. Loogootee’s low score was a 116, shot by Jessica Pride. Hattie Humerickhouse was right behind with a 117, followed by Claire Wolfe with a 121 and Libby Swartzentruber with 127, and Brynn Lengacher with a 135. The athletic department is proud of the improvements our girls golf team made throughout its first-ever season, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these girls. We are also thankful for our two seniors, Brynn and Libby, for giving golf a shot this year and helping make it possible for us to have a team. We also want to thank our underclassmen, Marly, Addison, Hattie, Claire, and Jessica, for sticking with the team all season, and Coach Tyler Walton for leading the girls throughout their first season!
