The varsity boys tennis team was victorious over the visiting Wood Memorial Trojans on Thursday evening at the Rick Graves Tennis Complex. The Lions won 5-0 to move their record to 8-2 on the season. In singles action, #1 Singles player Cooper VanHoy won 6-1, 6-0 over Maks Lecoca; #2 Singles player Grayson Kluesner beat Gage Sloan 6-0, 6-0, and #3 Singles player Mitchell Walton beat Parker Lee 6-0, 6-0. In doubles play the #1 Doubles team of Emmett Graber and Gabe Walton topped Cater Livermore and Spencer Heichelbech 6-0, 6-0. The #2 Doubles team of Reed Brittain and Cater Downey won by default. The Lions return to action on Saturday when they host Rivet in the first round of the LHS Invitational.
