Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

LOOGOOTEE — The Loogootee cross country teams competed on their home course Tuesday night as the school hosted the Loogootee Invitational at West Boggs Park, with several Lion runners turning in strong performances. Orleans won the boys race and Linton's girls were the Invitational champs on the ladies side. The Loogootee boys had an especially impressive showing and finished second as a team. Mosby Jones paced the Lions with a 10th-place finish in 21:47.80, followed closely by Bode Graber (23:20.50), Lucas Helderman (23:24.10), Jackson Lengacherer (23:45.10), and Broc Kerns (23:46.90). Loogootee placed five runners between 10th and 14th overall, demonstrating outstanding pack running throughout the race. Jacob Venters and Daniel Farhar also finished in the top 20, placing 16th and 17th, respectively. On the girls' side, Ava Jefers led Loogootee with an impressive time of 24:08.90, placing third among the Loogootee runners listed in the overall results, while Reese Gibson added a strong performance with a time of 26:17.70. It was a great night of competition at West Boggs Park and a strong showing by the Loogootee runners on their home course! The Lions will be back on the course on Saturday at Washington.
