Lady Lions Sweep the Night The Loogootee Lady Lions picked up a pair of victories as both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams earned straight-set wins. The Varsity Lady Lions improved to 2-3 on the season with a dominant 3-0 victory, winning 25-12, 25-20, and 25-10. Loogootee was strong from the service line, led by Lauren Nolan with 10 service points, while Aubrey Gilbert added nine and Jocelynn Sims and Lydia Hawkins each had eight. Hawkins and Gilbert also recorded three aces apiece. Offensively, Alaina Diamond led the Lady Lions with 13 kills, followed by Savannah Green with five and Madison Davis with four. Gilbert handed out 13 assists, while Hawkins added seven. Defensively, Sims led the way with eight digs, followed by Taryn Brown with six and Green with five. The JV Lady Lions continued their strong start to the season, improving to 4-1 with a convincing 2-0 victory, 25-9 and 25-10. Fara Fisher had a huge night from the service line, finishing with 11 aces while also leading the team with nine assists. Haylo Harmon recorded a team-high seven digs, while Kensleigh Carrico led the attack with four kills and Addison Moore added three. With both squads earning straight-set victories, the Lady Lions added another successful night to the early part of their 2026 season.
