Lady Lions Win First Ever Invite; Wolfe First Medalist in Program History

The Loogootee Lady Lions made program history on Tuesday, capturing the first invitational championship in Loogootee Girls Golf history. The Lady Lions fired a team score of 237, finishing eight strokes ahead of runner-up Orleans at 245. Lanesville finished third with a 260. Claire Wolfe led the historic afternoon, shooting a 56 to earn co-medalist honors, becoming the first medalist in program history. She was followed closely by Hattie Humerickhouse with a 57. Libby Swartzentruber shot a 59, while Brynn Lengacher and Jessica Pride each added rounds of 62. The victory adds another milestone to the young program’s growing list of accomplishments and improves the Lady Lions’ record to 6-4 on the season.
