The varsity and JV tennis teams traveled to Heritage Hills on Saturday afternoon and came back home with two more wins to move to 3-0 on the season. The varsity team edged the Patriots 3-2. Grayson Kluesner and Knox Jeffers picked up wins at #2 and #3 Singles and Emmett Graber and Gabe Walton won at #1 Doubles. Kluesner was a 7-6 (7-2), 6-0 winner. Jeffers won 7-5, 6-2. Graber and Walton were 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 victors. Cooper VanHoy dropped his match at #1 Singles 2-6, 1-6 and Reed Brittain and Carter Downey fell 3-6, 4-6. The JV Lions were 5-2 winners over the Patriots. Rhett Whitney won 6-0 at #2 Singles and Rykan Farhar won 6-3 at #3 Singles. Bryce Christmas and Mitchell Walton teamed at #1 Doubles and won 6-0. Declan Arvin and Rawlings Bell were 6-2 winners at #3 Doubles and Dawson Potts and Lincoln Stemen won 6-4 at #4 Doubles. Liam Kluesner fell 5-6 at #1 Singles. Henry Humerickhouse and Judah Davies dropped their match at #2 Doubles 4-6. The Lions have started the season very strong. They return to action on Monday when they host Northeast Dubois at the Rick Graves Tennis Complex.
