It was a strong showing for the Loogootee Middle School cross country teams as both the boys and girls squads finished 4th at the Southridge Raider Invite. The Loogootee boys scored 69 points to finish fourth in the team standings. Griffyn Thompson led the Lions in a big way, capturing 1st place overall with a time of 11:33.70. Both teams continue to show steady improvement and depth early in the season. A pair of fourth-place team finishes—and an individual championship from Thompson—gave the Lions plenty to celebrate. The Lions will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to the Crawford County Invitational.
