The HS tennis teams took to the courts for their first home match of the season at the Rick Graves Tennis Complex and gained a 4-1 win over Bloomfield in the varsity match and the JV won 3-1. Both squads improved to 2-0 on the young season. At 1-Singles Cooper VanHoy topped Slok Patel 6-3, 6-1. Grayson Kluesner beat Dax Dayhoff 6-1, 6-1 at 2-Singles. At the 3-Singles spot Mitch Walton beat Leo Pegg 6-3, 6-3. In doubles action Bloomfield's Cameron Branstetter and Jake Rose topped the Lions' Emmett Graber and Gabe Walton 6-4, 6-3. Cousins Carter Downey and Knox Jeffers beat Drake Sherrard and Lincoln Miller 6-1, 6-1. in JV action, the Lions' Rhett Whitney and Reed Brittain teamed to win 6-2. Liam Kluesner and Declan Arvin won their match over the Cardinals 6-2. Ryken Farhar and Rawlings Bell were 6-1 winners. Lincoln Stemen and Dawson Potts dropped their set 4-6. The Lions will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Heritage Hills to play the Patriots at 12PM.
