The Loogootee boys tennis team picked up a dominant 5-0 victory over the Forest Park Rangers Tuesday night, winning all three singles matches and both doubles matches. The win also marked the first career victory for Coach Jessie Bell. In singles play, Grayson Kluesner opened the night with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Jace Brockman. Knox Jeffers followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Miles Rea, while Carter Downey completed the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Trey Benton. The Lions continued their strong play in doubles. Emmett Graber and Cooper VanHoy earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Eli Brockman and Clayton Roesner. Reed Brittain and Gabe Walton closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jace Betz and Drew Fisher. In JV action, Dawon Potts and Judah Davis both took 8-0 victories at doubles. Bryce Christmas and Mitchell Walton won 8-2 and Henry Humerickhouse and Rawlings Bell partnered for an 8-1 win at doubles. With the 5-0 sweep the Lions move to 1-0 on the season. They will host Bloomfield on Thursday night at the Rick Graves Tennis Complex at Loogootee High School.
