Our 12U and 9U baseball teams hit the diamonds over the weekends and brought back some hardware. The 12U team traveled to Paoli and went 3-0 on Sunday to bring home the title. The boys beat the Indiana Bulls 10-5; Rawlings Tigers 9-5; and the Hoosier Hitmen 9-0 in the championship. Gunner Inman homered against the Bulls. Kyle Wade pitched a complete game against Rawlings and Reid Wagler did the same in the championship game. Jenner Strange pitched five scoreless innings against the Indiana Bulls. Coach Nick Strange said, "It was a total team effort top to bottom." The 9U team traveled to Mt. Vernon and went 3-2 over the weekend only losing to Princeton. There were lots of big moments for the little guys. In the semifinal game they scored 10 runs in the top half of the last inning to secure a victory over Mt. Vernon and move into the finals. Breck McAtee hit two home runs and Judd Potts homered as well. 9U Coach Pete Smith noted, "This group is starting to turn the corner and show real signs of growth." We appreciate the effort that these coaches, parents, and players are putting in to build the foundation for a strong baseball program in the coming years. #TIMETOROAR
