Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

The Loogootee Lions wrapped up a hard-fought match against the Barr-Reeve Vikings with several competitive performances across singles and doubles play. At singles, Claire Wolfe led the way with an impressive 8-1 victory, controlling the match from start to finish with stron serves and consistent play. Emmy Toy earned a win after her opponent was unable to continue because of an injury Elena Lyon battled throughout a close contest but came up just short in an 8-5 loss. In doubles action, the team of Kensleigh Carrico and Hattie Humerickhouse picked up a solid 8-5 victory with steady teamwork and strong net play. Jerzie Wildman and Kenzie Johnson fought hard in a competitive match before falling 8-6. The match also marked an emotional moment for the program as eighth graders Claire Wolfe, Kensleigh Carrico, and Hattie Humerickhouse competed in one of their final middle school matches. Their leadership, dedication, and contributions to the team will be greatly missed moving forward. The JH team wraps the season up with an 11-2 record.
