Loogootee scored five runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat the Bloomfield Cardinals 6-0 on Thursday at Bloomfield. August Weitkamp drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Holden Lingenfelter singled, scoring two runs. A single by Reid Wagler on the sixth pitch of the at-bat put Loogootee on the board in the top of the first. Lingenfelter started on the hill for the Lions. The hurler gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Leo Pegg stepped on the hill first for the Cardinals. The starter allowed three hits and six runs (one earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking five. Lingenfelter led the Lions with two hits in three at bats. Jackson Lengacher stole two bases. Loogootee was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lengacher made the most plays with seven. Zaydin Graf, Brooks Neill, Brixton Groomer, and Drake Sherrard each collected one hit for Bloomfield.
