Loogootee Lions JH Softball A v. Bloomfield JH Softball A 4-28-2026 Lady Lions Cruise Against Cardinals Fara Fisher was dominant from the first pitch to the last, striking out 13 and allowing just three hits in a five‑inning complete game. The Lady Lions A-Team Ace generated 27 swinging strikes on 83 pitches with the seemingly invisible ball. Loogootee gave her early support. Two runs came across in the first thanks to an error and a Kori Arvin RBI single, and the Lions blew the game open in the second with a six‑run inning built on patience and pressure. Fara doubled in two, Anna Cramer drew a bases‑loaded walk, a dropped third strike brought home another, and a wild pitch plated two more. It wasn’t flashy but the heat was on. The Lady Lions added another run in the third on Anna’s RBI groundout, and by then the offense had done more than enough. At the plate, Loogootee spread the production around. Taryn Brown, Anna, Kori, Fara, Lyric Graber, and Alyn Strange each collected a hit, and Taryn and Fara drove in two apiece. The Lions worked seven walks, stole eight bases, and Kori turned a double play to provide a full night of pressure and execution. Defensively, Loogootee wasn’t perfect, but they were tough when it mattered. Two errors led to one unearned run, but the staff stranded six runners and held Bloomfield to a .176 average on balls in play. Fara opened 14 of 22 at‑bats with a strike and threw 68 percent strikes overall, keeping the pace firmly in Loogootee’s hands. Final score: Loogootee 14, Bloomfield 1. Bloomfield B 4-28-2026 Lady Lions Reign Supreme at Bloomfield's Northside Diamonds Tuesday’s B‑Team matchup at Bloomfield was one of those games where Loogootee set the tone early and never let the energy dip. Ava Knepp opened the scoring with a six‑pitch at‑bat that ended in a sharp RBI single. Bloomfield tied it briefly in the bottom half, but the Lions answered in the third with a three‑run burst built on more quality swings. Ava singled again, Haley Hager followed with an RBI knock, and suddenly Loogootee had control. Falyn Fisher handled the pitching duties with poise, scattering five hits and allowing just one run over four innings. She struck out three, walked two, and generated eight swinging strikes on 55 pitches. The defense behind her was spotless — zero errors and a .230 average on balls in play — and the Lions stranded five Bloomfield runners to keep the scoreboard quiet. Offensively, Ava and Falyn were a tough back‑to‑back combo, each collecting two hits. Haley drove in two, and the Lions ran wild on the bases with six steals, including multiple from Ava, Falyn, and Leela Franklin. Even with only seven hits, the lineup made every opportunity count, driving in two runs with two outs and grinding through long at‑bats. Final score: Loogootee 8, Bloomfield 1.
