JH Boys 2nd and Girls 3rd at Washington 4-Team Meet

(Washington, IN - 4/20/26) - The boys and girls MS track teams went on the road on Monday night to Washington to run against the host Hatchets, North Daviess, and Barr-Reeve. The boys finished 2nd overall and the girls finished 3rd. Washington won the boys meet and Barr-Reeve won the girls meet. Knox Jeffers had another record breaking night for the Lions by establishing a new MS record of 4:52 in the 1600M and tied his own record with a 2:13 in the 800M. Jack Divine finished second in both the 110M and 300M hurdles. Hiram Tedrow was 2nd in the 200M dash and 3rd in the 300M hurdles. Zach Lyon placed second in the 100M dash. Ethan Wildman was third in the 400M. In the boys field events Hiram Tedrow was first in the High Jump with a jump of 5'0". Zach Lyon was first in the Long Jump with a leap of 16'11". Ayden Gilliland was 1st in the Discus and 3rd in the Shot Put. Ethan Wildman was 2nd in the Discus. In girls action, Kimber Padgett was 2nd in the 110M hurdles. Brylee Bateman was 2nd in the 200M and 300M hurdles. Ivy Phillips was 2nd in the 400M and 4th in the 100M. Trinity Kerns was 2nd in the 800M and 5th in the 100M. Laila Barnett was 3rd in the 1600M run. Emma Jones was 4th in the 400M. In the field events, Brylee Bateman won the High Jump with a jump of 4'8". Shyann Salmon was 3rd in the Shot Put and 5th in the Discus.
