Loogootee Varsity Lions Firing On All Cylinders Against White River Valley

(Switz City, 4/17/26) Loogootee Varsity Lions won big over White River Valley 15-0 on Friday. Loogootee Varsity Lions got on the board in the first inning after Britton doubled, scoring two runs. Loogootee Varsity Lions added one run in the second after Farhar doubled to center field. Loogootee Varsity Lions scored seven runs on one hit in the top of the third inning. A wild pitch scored one run, Farhar drew a walk, scoring one run, Graber drew a walk, scoring one run, Kluesner drew a walk, scoring one run, and Britton tripled, scoring three runs. Loogootee Varsity Lions added four more runs in the top of the fifth inning on one hit. Miller homered to left field, scoring two runs, Graber drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brittain scored after tagging up. Bell earned the win for Loogootee Varsity Lions. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Richardson began the game for White River Valley. The hurler allowed three hits and nine runs (three earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking six. Smith tossed two innings of no-run ball for Loogootee Varsity Lions in relief. The pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking none. Britton drove the middle of the lineup, leading Loogootee Varsity Lions with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Loogootee Varsity Lions had patience at the plate, piling up 14 walks for the game. Farhar and Graber led the team with three free passes each. Graber stole two bases. Loogootee Varsity Lions stole four bases in the game. Loogootee Varsity Lions were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Graber had the most chances in the field with six. Dorozynsky and Hostetter each collected one hit for White River Valley. Next up for Loogootee Varsity Lions was supposed to be Shoals, but that game was rained out and has been moved to May 12th. Now, the Lions will look toward Monday when they host South Knox.
