Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions had trouble keeping up with Wood Memorial in a 15-7 loss on Thursday. Wood Memorial jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after E Johns drew a walk, scoring one run, A Schultz drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, M Bigham singled, scoring two runs, and Jocelynn Sims induced S Craney to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored. Brynn Lengacher provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 3-for-4 on the day. Green collected two hits for Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions in four at bats. Jade Lawson paced Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up five walks for the game. Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions turned two double plays in the game.
