Lions JH Softball A v. Eastern Greene 4/13/26 Loogootee JH Lions A Team didn’t waste any time setting the tone Monday night against Eastern Greene. The Lions opened with a four‑run first inning. Fara Fisher roped a line drive down the left field line to start the game with a stand up triple. Alyn and Kori each punched singles to the left side as well, and Jessica ripped a double down the line to cap the inning. The second inning brought more of the same. Taryn hammered a double, a passed ball added another run, and the Lions kept the momentum rolling. By the third, Loogootee was fully in control. Fara doubled to center to drive in two, another error brought home two more, and the lead stretched to 11–0. Fara handled the pitching duties with complete command. She allowed just one hit, a game lead off bunt mind you, over four innings, struck out three, walked none, and threw strikes at an 84 percent clip. Falyn Fisher came in to relieve and followed with a squeaky-clean inning of her own, adding two strikeouts and no free passes. The sister duo was comfortable from first pitch to last and Eastern Greene never found a rhythm. Offensively, the Lions collected six stolen bases, with Kori and Alyn leading the charge. Fara finished 2‑for‑4 with a game leading two RBIs, and the lineup as a whole kept the pressure on with disciplined at‑bats and on-brand aggressive baserunning. Defensively, Loogootee made Eastern Greene earn everything. No leadoff walks, 15 first‑pitch strikes in 16 batters, and only one runner stranded all night. When you combine that with clean pitching and steady offense, you can expect these results. Solid total team effort. Final score: Loogootee 11, Eastern Greene 0 Charms Blow Pop Player of the Game: Kori Arvin - 1-2 on the night with one RBI, Hit By Pitch, and plating two runs of her own -Clean night at short going 4-4 on putouts -Brought a great attitude tonight and played with tremendous confidence Lions JH Softball B v. Eastern Greene 4/13/26 Monday’s B‑Team game against Eastern Greene had a little bit of everything: early fireworks, a big second inning, and a whole lot of Lions finding barrels. Loogootee fell behind 3–0 in the top of the first, but the response was immediate and substantial. Falyn started the comeback with a single down the left‑field line, Ava followed with a triple to center, Leela drove in another on a fielder’s choice, and Jessica punched a single through the left side. Four straight scoring plays later, the Lions had flipped the scoreboard. The second inning was the real turning point. Loogootee hung a six‑spot with a mix of line drives and pressure on the bases. Alyn singled in a run, Ava doubled home two more, Leela added an RBI double, Haley brought in a run with a groundout, and Bristol capped the inning with an RBI single. Falyn earned the win, striking out three over two innings as Kollins followed with a clean third inning, striking out two and allowing no hits. Between the two of them and their pitching staff mate Remington Bell, Eastern Greene never found much rhythm after the first. Offensively, the Lions piled up 13 hits. Ava drove in three from the cleanup spot, and five different players — Ava, Bristol, Jessica, Kollins, and Falyn — finished with two hits. Kollins added two stolen bases, and the team played error‑free defense behind the pitching staff. Loogootee also controlled the little things: 15 first‑pitch strikes in 22 batters, only one walk that came around to score, and just 20 percent line‑drive contact allowed. When you combine that with 13 hits and clean defense, the result usually looks a lot like Monday’s scoreboard. Great total team win. Final score: Loogootee 11, Eastern Greene 5.
