Ava Jeffers, Sims, Jade Lawson, Savannah Green, and Brynn Lengacher each collected one hit for Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions. Jeffers, Sims, Lawson, and Green each drove in one run for Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions. Loogootee Varsity Lady Lions turned one double play in the game. Coach Franklin: We did a good job limiting runs this game, unfortunately, we came up a bit short. I continue to see growth both in the field and on offense. Jocelynn Sims had been in a bit of a hitting slump compared to her normal, but battled through and made some adjustments and came through clutch with a big hit late in the game to get us going. Ava Jeffers had a huge sac bunt to get us on another run on the board as well. Selfless play and team first mentality, you cannot ask for more than that from this group! All these ladies are continuing to grow, make adjustments and keep coming out better with each game we play. I truly believe this group is capable of so much more and we will get there as we progress through the regular season. Sky is the limit for these girls, we just gotta keep trusting the process and battling to win one inning at a time!
