Ava Jeffers collected five hits in five at bats but lost to Mount Vernon 17-10 on Thursday. Despite the loss, Loogootee Lady Lions did collect 11 hits on the night. Lauren Nolan and Maycee Hembree each collected two hits. Savannah Green, Brynn Lengacher, Chloe Ramsey and Chloe Lawson all added a hit each. Savannah drew two walks, Brynn, Jade, Maycee and Chloe Lawson each drew a walk. Jocelynn Sims pitched 4 and two-thirds innings in relief for starting pitcher Savannah Green. While giving up 10 runs, only one was earned and striking out four. Savannah pitched one and one-thirds innings, giving up 7 runs, of which only three were earned and striking out two. Errors became the deciding factor in the game, amassing 7 over the course of the game. Loogootee will be back at home on Monday when they take on the Washington Lady Hatchets at Costello Field.
