Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

The boys 5th and 6th Grade teams both took to the court at Jack Butcher Arena on Monday night and they were victorious in the elementary version of the Battle for Martin County. In the 5th grade contest the Lions won 38-15 and placed three players in double figures. LJ Marks and Keaton Smith each had 12 points. Brodan Hawkins had 10. Zane Roach and Hayden Edwards each had 2. The 6th graders were 49-9 winners and were led by Griffyn Thompson's 18 points. Jenner Strange had 9 points and Kyle Wade added 9. Eli Graber had 5 points and Nick Helderman added 4. Fallyn Taylor had 3 and Reid Wagler had 2. The 5th grade finished 13-6 and the 6th grade finished 20-0. Both teams will finish up their seasons with some travel tourneys. They will play at Dubois this coming weekend and Crawford County the following weekend. The 6th graders will travel to Jammin' in Jasper to complete their season.
