The 8th grade boys team started their trek toward a Blue-Chip Conference tournament title on Tuesday night when they defeated Wood Memorial 54-27 in front of a great crowd at Jack Butcher Arena. The Lions were led by Jaxon Foster with 16 points. Ethan Wildman had 13 points to join him in double figures. Hiram Tedrow had 9 points and Holden Lingenfelter and Jackson Lengacher each had 6. Aydan Gilliland; Hunter Walton; and Landon Stemen each chipped in a basket. The 8th graders will travel to Barr-Reeve on Saturday morning where they will take on the host Vikings at 10AM in the semifinals of the conference tournament. The championship game will follow.
