6th Grade Wins SK Tourney

The 5th and 6th Grade teams traveled to South Knox on Saturday morning to participate in the annual SK Tourney. Our 6th grade team defeated North Knox and Washington to bring home the championship and run their record to 15-0. The 5th grade team beat North Knox and fell to South Knox in the championship game. The 5th graders are now 10-4 on the season. The 6th graders topped North Knox 42-10. Griffyn Thompson led the Lions with 14 points. Kyle Wad and Nick Helderman each had 9 for the Lions. Jenner Strange added 4 and Eli Graber, Kasey Bratton, and Reid Wagler each had a basket. In the finale, the 6th grade Lions topped the Hatchets 36-20. Kyle Wade led the Lions with 11 points. Griffyn Thompson had 10 and Jenner Strange had 9. Eli Graber had 3 points; Nick Helderman 2; and Reid Wagler had a FT. In the 5th grade game with North Knox, the Lions beat the Warriors 34-25. They were led by LJ Marks with 12 points. Hayden Edwards had 8 points. Keaton Smith and Brodan Hawkins each had 6 points. In the championship game against South Knox the Lions lost 31-24. They were led by LJ Marks' 10 points. Keaton Smith and Hayden Edwards had 6 points and Zane Roach had a basket. The Lions are supposed to be back in action at Barr-Reeve on Monday night.
