Boys JH Teams Top WRV & Holy Family

The boys 7th and 8th grade teams had a solid week this week. On Tuesday night they tag teamed to beat WRV who had to combine their troops to have enough to play a game. The JH team won 36-18. On Thursday, the 7th graders topped Holy Family 32-22 while the 8th graders won 54-24. Ethan Wildman had 11 points for the Lions to lead the prowl against the Wolverines on Tuesday night. Holden Lingenfelter added 9. Jackson Lengacher had 6. Jaxon Foster and Jack Divine each had 3 and Garrett Downey and Kaleb McCloskey each had a basket. Against Holy Family on Thursday Jack Divine led the 7th grade Lions with 14 points. Liam Strange had 12 points for the Lions. August Weitkamp had 4 and Garrett Downey had 2 to round out the Loogootee scoring attack. The 8th grade Lions beat Holy Trinity 54-24. They were led by Knox Jeffers with 13 points. Jaxon Foster and Holden Lingenfelter joined him in double figures with 12 and 10 respectively. Hiram Tedrow had 8 for the Lions. Landon Stemen and Lucas Cramer each had 3. Aydan Gilliland and Jackson Lengacher both had a basket for the Lions. With the wins the 7th grade record now stands at 16-2 and the 8th grade is 14-1. The Lions will be back in action on Monday night when they travel to Bedford to take on the Stonecutters.
