The 5th/6th Grade Lions traveled to Knox County on Thursday night to take on the Rivet Patriots. Both teams claimed victory just like George Rogers Clark did meters away in February of 1779. The 5th grade won 32-27 to run their record to 9-3 on the year. The 6th graders moved to 13-0 on the season. In the opener, Brodan Hawkins led the way with 12 points for the 5th graders. LJ Marks and Keaton Smith each had 8. Hayden Edwards rounded out the Lion attack with 4 points. In the second game, the Lions were led by Griffyn Thompson with 24 points. Jenner Strange had 17 points and Nick Helderman added 13. Reid Wagler had 6; Eli Graber 4; and Kasey Bratton had 2. The Lions are off for a while as they do not return to action until next Saturday when they travel to the South Knox 5th/6th grade tourney.
