The 8th Grade Lions defeated Barr-Reeve on the road 32-27 and moved to 11-1 on the season. The 7th grade dropped a 45-28 decision to the Vikings to fall to 12-2 on the season. In the 8th grade game, the Lions made a three point attempt at the end of the first half to close the gap to 17-13 after a slow first half. The Lions trailed 24-23 at the end of three, but only gave up three points in the 4th Quarter to give themselves the cushion they needed as they outscored the hosts 9-3 in the final stanza. Knox Jeffers led the Lions with 19 points. Jackson Lengacher had 6 points, including two big baskets to keep the game tight in the 3rd Quarter. Jaxon Foster had 4 points and Ethan Wildman had 3 to round out the Lion scoring attack. In the 7th grade contest the Lions used hot shooting to get out to a 13-5 First Quarter lead. The Lions also held a 17-15 advantage at half-time, but the Vikings came to life in the second half. The hosts outscored the Lions 12-4 in the 3rd and 18-7 in the 4th to complete the 45-28 win over the Lions. Jack Divine led the Lions with 10. Garrett Downey had 8 points. August Weitkamp and Mason Mathias each had 3 points. Liam Strange and Kalbe McCloskey each had a basket. Both teams return to action Thursday night when they host Wood Memorial in the Activity Center.
