JH Lady Lions Sweep Lady Lakers

On Saturday morning, the JH Lady Lions traveled to Shakamak for a 10 AM start. The 7th graders opened the morning with a slow start and battled cold shooting throughout to defeat the Lady Lakers. They were down 4–6 after the first quarter before figuring it out and holding the Lady Lakers to 2 points for the rest of the game. The 7th Grade Lady Lions would win 27–8 and improve their record to 10–7. They were led in scoring by Kori Arvin with 8, Alyn Strange had 5, Elin Wade, Ayla Hawkins, and Abby Meyer all finished with 4, and Emma Downey finished with 2. The 8th graders also had a cold start to the day but quickly figured it out, opening a first-quarter lead of 20–2 after one. They would win the game 46–8 and improve to 14–3 on the season. The 8th graders were led in scoring by Taryn Brown and Fara Fisher, each with 11. Addison Moore finished with 6, Hattie Humerickhouse, Brylee Bateman, and Sydnee Salmon each had 4, and Kensleigh Carrico, Skylyr Raney, and Claire Wolfe each finished with 2 points. The JH Lady Lions are back on the road once again Monday night at Springs Valley.
