Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

The Loogootee Lion 6th grade team pushed their record to 9-0 on the season with a 60-28 win over the visitors from Jasper. The Lions led just 14-9 at the first break and 26-17 at the half. Then, midway through the 3rd quarter the Cats clawed to a 28-22 deficit before the Lions went on an 18-0 run to close the door. Griffyn Thompson led the Lions with 35 points and Kyle Wade joined him in double figures with 16. Jenner Strange and Reid Wagler each had 4 for the Lions and Eli Graber notched a charity toss for 1. The B-Team improved to 4-0 on the season with their win over the Cats. The B-Team outscored the Cats 25-22. Nick Helderman led the Lions with 9 points. Ryder Davis added 6. Kasey Bratton had 5 points; Boston Shoultz had 3; and Eli Graber 2. The Lions will be back in action on Saturday when they and our 5th graders play in the Linton Shootout.
