Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

The 7th and 8th grade Lions both were in action at Jack Butcher Arena on Tuesday night. Both came away with big wins over the visiting Washington Hatchets. The 7th graders improved to 11-1 with a 33-25 win and the 8th grad moved to 10-1 on the season with a 47-22 win over the visitors from Daviess County. In the 7th grade contest, Garrett Downey led the Lions with 11. Jack Divine and Zach Lyon each had 8. Kaleb McCloskey had 4 and August Weitkamp had 2. The 8th graders were led by Knox Jeffers who had 19 points. Jaxon Foster joined him in double figures with 10. Holden Lingenfelter added 7; Hiram Tedrow 5; and Jackson Lengacher had 4. Both teams were scheduled to play Springs Valley on Wednesday night, but that game has been cancelled due to Springs Valley moving their boys Varsity game to Wednesday night. The 7th grade will be in action on Saturday when they host Rivet. The 7th and 8th grade will be in action next week on Tuesday when they travel to Loogootee.
