Loogootee Jr-Sr High School

The 7th and 8th grade boys headed to Pike Central on Monday night and came back to Martin County with two wins. The 7th graders 40-4 and the 8th grade won 53-27. In the 7th grade contest, Mason Mathias led the Lions with 13 points. Jack Divine had 9; Garrett Downey had 5; 4 each for Kaleb McCloskey and Liam Strange; Kendall Wilson had 3; and August Weitkamp had a basket to round out the 8th grade Lion scoring attack. Knox Jeffers paced the 8th graders with 18 points. Jaxon Foster had 10 to join Knox in double figures. Holden Lingenfelter had 8. Ayden Gilliland had 6; Hunter Walton 4; Landon Stemen 3; and Jackson Lengacher and Hiram Tedrow each had a basket. The 7th grade finished the 2025 slate 9-1 and the 8th graders finished 8-1. The 7th/8th grade Lions will be off until the new year when they head to Shoals on January 5th.
