6th Graders Slam Spartans

The 5th and 6th grade boys teams headed West on Thursday evening to take on the South Knox Spartans and gained a split. The 5th graders fell 22-18 and dropped to 5-3 on the season. The 6th graders won 49-17 and finished the first half of the season undefeated at 8-0. Griffyn Thompson had 16 points for the Lion 6th graders to lead all scorers. Jenner Strange chipped in ten and Kyle Wade had 8. Eli Graber had 7 points and Reid Wagler added 6. Nick Helderman rounded out the Lion scoring with 2. In the 5th grade contest the Lions were led by Keaton Smith with 7 and LJ Marks added 5. Zane Roach; Hayden Edwards; and Broden Hawkins each had 2. Both teams will now be off until after New Year's. The 5th graders will open up first against North Knox in a 5th grade A&B game on January 5th. The 6th graders will take on Jasper on January 8th. Both teams will travel to Linton to play three games on January 10th at the Linton Shootout.
