6th Grade Tops Hatchets

The boys 5th and 6th grade teams traveled to Washington and came away with a split. The 5th graders lost 26-20 and the 6th graders won 54-27. In the 6th grade contest, the Lions shot out to a 17-7 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Lions were led by Griffyn Thompson who had 19 points and Lucas Helderman had 15 points and Jenner Strange had 11 to join the Lions in double figures. Eli Graber had 4; Kyle Wade and Reid Wagler had 2 apiece; and Ryder Davis added a FT. With the win the Lions improved to 6-0 and will be back in action against North Knox on Saturday in an A&B contest. The 5th graders dropped a tough contest to the Hatchets after leading early. The 5th graders were led by Brodan Hawkins with 7 points. LJ Marks had 5; Zane Roach 4; Kamden Wilson and Kash Wagler each had a bucket. The 5th graders will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host Washington Catholic.
