The 7th/8th Grade boys basketball teams traveled to Bicknell on Thursday night to take on the North Knox Warriors in JH boys hoops action. The teams came away with a split as the 7th grade won 46-17 while the 8th graders dropped a tough one 40-35. In the 7th grade led at 26-7 at the half and cruised to a win. Jack Divine led the Lions with 19 points and Garrett Downey joined him in double figures with 10. Kaleb McCloskey had 6; August Weitkamp and Mason Mathies had 4; while Zach Lyon ended with 3 to round out the Lion scoring attack. In the 8th grade contest, the game was tied at 14 after the first quarter and then the Lions trailed 20-19 at half. The Warriors pulled out to a 30-23 lead at the end of three. The Lions outscored the Warriors 12-10 in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. Jaxon Foster led the Lions with 13 points and Knox Jeffers had 9. Jackson Lengacher had 6; Ethan Wildman added 4; and Holden Lingenfelter chipped in 3. The Lions will return to action next Monday on November 24th when they host Dubois at Jack Butcher Arena in another Blue-Chip Conference showdown.
