The boys 5th/6th grade teams both picked up a couple of wins on Thursday night in the first ever games played in the Activity Center. The 5th grade moved to 2-0 on the season with their 29-18 win over the visiting Senators. They led at every stop on their way to the win. Brodan Hawkins led the Lions with 15 points. AJ Marks had 6; Keaton Smith 5; and Hayden Edwards had 3 for the 5th Graders. In the 6th Grade contest, the Lions started out slow with just a 12-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but pulled ahead to lead 31-10 at half. The Lions steadily outpaced the Senators and ended up winning 54-31. Griffyn Thompson led the 6th Graders with 19 points. Nick Helderman also hit double figures with 11 points. Kyle Wade had 8 and Jenner Strange added 7. Eli Graber chipped in with 6 and Reid Wagler had 3. The Lions will be off over Thanksgiving Break, but return to action with a trip to WRV on Monday, December 1st.
