Congratulations to LHS Track and Field runner Penny Lamerson who received an IHSAA Sportsmanship Award Pin for her outstanding display of Sportsmanship this Saturday at the Sagamore Conference Championship. An Exemplary Behavior Report has been added to the IHSAA Lebanon system: Sport: Girls Track & Field Event Details: 5/17/2025 (Location: Southmont High School) Reporting Individual: IHSAA Official Edward Stuffle After a "Career Day" on the Sagamore Conference Championships track, 3200m Relay (1st), 1600m Run (1st), 800m Run (2nd) and 3200m Run (1st), Lebanon Junior, Penny Lamerson went above and beyond the norm (instead of venturing off to team camp) she began seeking out each and every opponent in the 3200m race; offered compliments, a pat on the back, a cup of water and even water sprinkles on the back of their neck if they so desired to aid in the body cool down process. This was a true testament of exemplary sportsmanship behavior well done.
