The Tigers Cross Country teams competed in the Noblesville Sectional race with teams from Anderson, Anderson Preparatory, Fishers, Guerin Catholic, Hamilton Heights, Hamilton Southeastern, Lapel, Lebanon, Liberty Christian, Noblesville, Pendleton Heights, Shenandoah, Tipton, Tri-Central, Westfield. The top five teams from Sectionals qualify to move on to Regionals. For individuals to advance to Regional competition runners had to finish in the top 15 not on the advancing 5 teams. Both teams finished in 8th for the day. Congratulations to the following individuals: Penny Lamerson, Sophie Kyker, Claire Larson, William & Tyler Meyer, and Isaac Harvey for all advancing to the Shelbyville Regional next Saturday, and to both teams for an outstanding season! The Lady Tigers started the day with Penny Lamerson leading the team and running a strong race placing 13th with an 18 second PR time of 18:52, followed by Sophie Kyker running with some grit to run a season best time of 20:51 placing 42nd, Claire Larson placed 46th with another great race to take off over another minute to run a PR time of 21:13, Haley Tiefel also runs over a minute PR time of 21:51 to place 51st, Abbi Riggs battles through to come in 54th and rounding out the Varsity race was Izzy Metheny in 58th and Averee Maciel in 59th. The Boys stepped on the line next and had a great showing. Leading the way was William Meyer in 40th, Tyler Meyer 45th, and Isaac Harvey running a season best time of 18:15 to punch their tickets into the Shelbyville Regional. Levi Pittman ran a great race placing 54th with a PR time of 18:27, and right behind him in 55th was Jesse Acton with a PR time of 18:29. Rounding out the Varsity race with another PR was Brynner Sloan with a time of 18:45 placing 60th and Jovani Suarez in 66th.
